Privacy

Housie Bingo Caller: No Ads collects nothing and sends nothing.

The app has no analytics, no crash reporting and no adverts. It never asks you to make an account. It does not ask for a single Android or iOS permission.

On Android it is not granted the INTERNET permission at all, so it could not send anything anywhere even if it tried to.

What is stored, and where

Two things, both on your phone only, and both readable by nothing except the app itself:

Both are deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Neither is backed up to us, because there is no us to back it up to.

The voice

Numbers are read out by the text-to-speech engine already installed on your phone, made by Google or Apple depending on the device. The app hands it a word like "forty-seven" and it speaks. No audio is recorded, and the microphone is never used or requested.

Whether that engine itself works offline depends on your phone. On most devices the voice is downloaded once and used locally afterwards. That is between you and your phone's own settings, not something this app controls.

Links out

The About page has links to a support page, a store listing, GitHub and YouTube. Tapping one opens your browser. From that point you are on somebody else's website under their privacy policy, and this app is no longer involved.

The support link carries ?from=housie-app so that page knows which project sent you. It is read in the page and thrown away, and it says nothing about who you are.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. Since it collects nothing from anybody, it collects nothing from children either.

Changes

If this ever changes, it changes here first, and the app version that changed it will say so in its release notes. The commit history of the source repository is the full record.
